A Green escape to the 29 palms inn

Tonight’s session was a breath of fresh air. This sweet family met me at the 29 Palms Inn, and it felt like we stepped into a hidden oasis. Instead of the usual desert tones, we were surrounded by grass, towering palms, and golden light that felt like magic.

Watching them walk hand in hand, wrangle toddlers, and sneak little glances at each other reminded me why I love photographing families. It’s not about posing perfectly—it’s about capturing connection, the real moments, the in-between giggles and little hands reaching for comfort.

The kids were adorable—wild in the best way—and the love between mom and dad was steady and strong. I left this session feeling thankful to do what I do and even more in love with the desert when it surprises us with pockets of green and light like this.
