How a random TikTok live became a whole new creative chapter

I didn’t find Humble Togs on purpose.

I was up one morning, scrolling TikTok (like I often do when I should be productive), and landed on a live where a guy was editing photos and casually chatting. He mentioned wanting to build a community of photographers—a space where people could grow, share, be honest, and not be dicks to each other.

And I immediately thought, Yes!

No gatekeeping. No pressure. No pretentious energy. Just creatives being real.

That guy turned out to be Kurt Sneddon, and that comment?

It’s now grown into Humble Togs Club—a community of nearly 90 photographers from around the world, all choosing to show up with humility and heart.

What Is Humble Togs Club?

Humble Togs is more than a photography group. It’s a space for people like me—creatives who are passionate about what we do, but don’t always feel like we belong in the loud, competitive world of content and critique.

It’s a place for the photographers who shoot from the gut.

The ones who lead with emotion and want to get better not to impress others, but to tell better stories.

It’s for those of us still learning, still fumbling, still showing up anyway.

Inside the club, we share wins and questions and edits we’re not sure about. We get honest feedback without shame. We learn from each other in a way that feels safe and, honestly, sacred.

Why It Mattered to Me

Before Humble Togs, I didn’t have a creative space that felt like home.

I’m still growing. Still learning. I’ve got days where I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing behind the lens and even more days where I doubt if I should be teaching or building anything of my own.

But this community reminded me that you don’t have to be the best to belong.

You just have to show up with your heart—and your humility.

That’s what makes it different. That’s why I stay.

If You’re Craving Community…

I don’t know where you are in your photography journey.

Maybe you’re just starting. Maybe you’re rebranding. Maybe you’re burnt out or secretly wondering if you’re even good enough.

But if you’re looking for a space to grow, to feel encouraged, and to be surrounded by people who care more about connection than competition—this is it.

Humble Togs isn’t flashy. It’s honest. And that’s what makes it magic.
